An uptight English writer traveling to Crete on a matter of business finds his life changed forever when he meets the gregarious Alexis Zorba.</p> <p><strong>Tracing the trail</strong><br /> <strong>A personal / subjective archive of choreographies of films across the film history.</strong></p> <p>Inside postmodern cultural studies the term archive is being used as memory of information and knowledge, referring to Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault. It s a project about choreography – developed as a form of writing. Notation of dance movements in film scenes is a rareness. The challenge about capturing dance scenes in films are frequently occurring camera view changes e.g. close ups of faces which interrupts the experience of viewing whole movements.</p> <p>The working prozess is: A first step is to find a way to understand movements, to reconstruct them, to write it down, to find a possible way of notation. To learn the movements we can get from the film scenes, to then imagine the rest of the choreography by analyzing procedures, patterns and other materials involved.<br /> It is a Remake of the Original.
